A Month of Letters is upon us. For those of you who haven't heard, A Month of Letters (affectionately "lettermo") has put out an annual February challenge since 2010. Which is to write and send a piece of mail daily (excluding Sundays because the post office is closed) for the entire month.
It has quite a following. Some come back every year. Others join in when they can. Let's face it, some years are harder than others. Hence the challenge. I will be joining for the first time this year. (as if I don't have enough things to do.)
But Letter Writing must go on
and we are to do our part.
"Be the change you want to see.."
and all that.
Writing letters seems to have brought on much tea drinking...
I can not say if the cold season has anything to do with that. I'll have to report back during the summer. But it's not just me. Other letter writing aficionados say the same.
In any case, the fact that Valentine's Day falls during lettermo is something I see as fortuitous. Yet we can not dismiss the grandeur of having more reason to write. This does add fuel right smack in the middle of the month when some of us may be falling behind, no?
In honor of this great pairing of Lettermo, Valentines Day, and Tea, I have designed another Stationery set. Stationery and Tea-bag envelope. It's available early so you can plan on those tea choices!
What will you send?! The tea choices today are enough to make one need a hot cup of tea just to decide... yes, right there in the market isle! But for the love of Letters, Stationery, and Tea— you just have to do it! This set is now available in Downloads. Keep Scribbling!
Hello, I’m Nina, the maven behind the
IQS blog. I’m all about creativity (ya think?).
I work in several disciplines. So it's no surprise that the Art of Letter Writing would come knocking on my door. Smitten!
However, I did not want to simply add MailArt as a discipline to my website. Thus it became the IQS Blog within my site. And that is why there are TWO navigation menus. *Here’s a Tip: stick with the BLOG Menu in this Column. The main site menu will lead you astray into dark places where you will be screaming for help and no one will hear you.
